Constipation in Children (2)

If you have read my previous post about constipation in children (if you haven't, you can read here), i will share with you the progress of my daughter after her laxative medicine theraphy for 2 months.

At first, very useful taking laxatives during therapy, her defecation was not hard anymore, so she can remove it with no difficulty. And i think it makes her sense of trauma to defecate gradually decreased. But there are things that must be considered and fully implemented by the parents who experience this, that your child should never stop taking these laxatives (given by your doctor) during therapy, though only for a day or two days.

In my case, within one week my daughter can take 3-4 bottles of medicine, so there are times when the medicine runs out, and i still do not have time to redeem her more prescription drugs in pharmacies.Turns out, because of my indiscipline makes my daughter have the problem in defecating again. After that, though already taking back the laxatives but do not give any influence to the problem.

I'm trully regret about this... but i have to think about and find a way out. Then i returned to traditional way, which i give and persuade my daughter to eat papaya every day. I make sure she is not eating less, but eating enough, which is one papaya for three days.

And thank God it's work, now is the second week she do that and her bowel movements are back to normal. I think this is better than she take a medicine again. I don't know exactly how long will this be, but the important thing i will keep trying and i will share again if there is any progress that might be useful for you dear Parents...

*disclaimer : to do laxative medicine therapy should consult with your doctor first
