Many children like swimming, and as parents we better bridge this hobby can be distributed well because swimming is one of the best sports for the development of body, the health of the heart and children’s lungs.
At the start of childrens’s swimming activities, try to put a buoy on the child's arm, besides as a security measure so the children do not drown, buoys can also provide a kind of more self confidence in children to be more daring to move his hands and feet in the water as an initial step.
The second step is to attempt to eliminate the fear of water. Encourage your child to get used to bathing, and gradually increased with dive some time to train the breath such as:
- Took a deep breath before diving
- Insert the head into the water
- Breathed the breath through the nose (in water)
- Raise your head above water while opening the mouth to take a breath
If those steps done repeatedly it will get used to the child and they will not afraid to dive.
The third step is to hone the ability to float. After the child has the confidence to dive by putting his head into the water, help your child to slowly float her above the water surface with the body's position on the stomach, while holding the breath.
The final step, teach the ability to push the body, in order to slide by moving legs up and down on the float position.
Well after these basic skills mastered, the child can learn a combination of hand and foot movements, and various swimming styles.
